About PKD Notes

This blog is for news and information about Polycystic Kidney Disease. PKD is a the most common genetic disease in the world, and it affects one in eight people. Many people with PKD go undiagnosed or unaffected throughout their lives, but most don’t, and most of those face kidney failure.

I have PKD and so did my father and aunt. I am a few years off dialysis and becoming an active e-patient and reading and research is part of my plan to stave it off for as long as possible!

I am in Australia so will be aiming to highlight Australian news and information as well as global.
